Registered nurses (RNs), like our team members, focus on the medical well-being of both mom and baby, handling things like vital signs, newborn care, breastfeeding, and mental health screenings. Midwives can do these things in addition to managing a vaginal delivery. Doulas, however, offer non-medical support, focusing on emotional and practical assistance during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. So, while RNs and midwives provide medical expertise, doulas offer invaluable emotional and physical support.
